Whats your take on this?

 

I went to see a friend at the hospital during lunch hour. On getting there, one of my friends eye was plastered with a cotton wool. I asked her what happened because when she called to inform me she is in the hospital, she was in tears so I could barely hear her. The only thing I could pick was "accident".

So In total confusion, I asked how come its only her eye and not any other part of her body. She starts sobbing uncontrollably. Hian! Uche what is it na? Her sister who is staying in the hospital with her touched my leg so I could stop asking. So I told her not to worry then gisted her of how one mad man chased one woman that was cat walking down the bridge this morning because we both walk together daily before catching a cab to work. I just told her what she missed out today just to crack her up and stop her from crying. Told her not to worry about what happened she can tell me when she is outta the hospital. Shortly afterwards, the doc came in and asked that we step out a bit so he can take out the plaster on her eye.

 

 

While we were waiting outside, Uche's sister told me that her husband inflicted the injury on her. I screamed What!!!!!!. What da hell are you talking about? Well she said Uche came home and met her husband in the kitchen. She asked what he is doing there as its not one of his favourite places in the house. He felt he was too angry and hungry to respond so he ignored her. She left and came back to fix him something since he knew he was hungry. She went to him and said don't worry let me make you something. He angry used the tin cutter in his hand on her face screaming "where have you been?" Hestill didn't think he had caused enough injury, so he started pounding her as usual and she fell to the floor. When he noticed blood, he ran out and called Uche's sister to go check on her sister and he angrily drove out. Uche was rushed to the hospital and the extent of damage was relayed to him. He has refused to go to the hospital with the excuse that he is scared and wont know what her reaction would be. The doctor has taken out the plaster so I went back in to see Uche. She knew her sister would have briefed me. The only thing she said to me is "am getting a divorce". Truthfully I didn't know what to say. I asked her to think through it but deep inside me, I support her all the way. If she looses her sight nko? This is not the first nor second time that he beats her up and she finds herself in the hospital but this time the injury is way outta it. it could get worse. Please I think she needs sometime to sort herself out. what do u think?
